"I describe dance as the main outlet to my emotions and my life". Miss Malaika is a Sacramento Native and comes from an East African Background. Also holding various past cultural beauty queen titles she strives to be a role model to youth in the area. She has been dancing since the age of 3 and trained in various styles of dance. African dance styles are her main style of dance. Miss Malaika has been teaching dance since the age of 17 to children and has also danced professionally in the past. She hopes to spread the love of African and Caribbean culture through dance and also helping girls gain some confidence.
